Stop taking people's advice too seriously. Most people judge based on interest, not truth. Learn how to separate truth from self-interest before you make life decisions.
*THE WORD FOR TODAY*
*Stop taking people's advice too seriously.*
I stopped taking people's advice seriously when I realized something —
Most people kick against anything that doesn't favour them.
They don't judge with truth. They judge with interest.
If it benefits them, they will call it wisdom.
If it doesn't benefit them, they will call it foolishness.
That's why there are always two sides to every discussion —
*The side of TRUTH*
and
*The side of INTEREST.*
A poor man says "money is not everything."
A rich man will tell you "money is important."
A single person says "marriage is a trap."
A married person will tell you "marriage is beautiful."
Same topic, different interests.
*LESSON FOR TODAY:*
*1. Don't live your life based on people's opinions. Many opinions are selfish.*
Not everyone advising you wants you to succeed. Some are protecting their own position.
*2. Learn to separate advice from self-interest. Ask yourself, "Is this person advising me because it's true, or because it favours them?"*
Before you accept advice, check the motive behind it.
*3. Seek counsel from people who have nothing to gain or lose from your decision — they will tell you the truth.*
The best advisers are neutral. They don't benefit if you fail or succeed.
At the end of the day, listen to everyone, but think for yourself.
