President Tinubu approves N4bn as second tranche severance benefits for 600 ex-Nigeria Airways workers in batches 10 and 11. Details of payment.
*BREAKING: Tinubu Releases Another N4 Billion For Ex-Nigeria Airways Workers*
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the release of another N4 billion as severance benefits for former workers of the defunct Nigeria Airways.
Imo Media Hub gathered that the N4 billion is the second tranche of the payment, covering Batches 10 and 11 of the ex-workers, comprising about 600 beneficiaries.
The payment is being disbursed through the Federal Ministry of Finance.
This fresh disbursement comes just weeks after the Federal Government released N18 billion in September 2026 to settle the entitlements of 2,700 former workers across Batches 1 to 9.
According to sources, the payment is part of the ongoing efforts by the Tinubu administration to clear all outstanding severance obligations owed to former employees of the national carrier, which was liquidated years ago.
For many of the ex-workers who have waited for decades for their entitlements, this payment brings huge relief.
The Federal Government is expected to continue the disbursement until all verified former staff are fully settled.
We will bring you more updates as the disbursement progresses.
